Matt Ware's Training Camp Diary
August 28th

We are at the end of a long road trip and we are looking to really put it all together tonight as we take on the Bears. The trip to Tennessee was a definite learning experience that should be able to
help for the season. All of us players have really challenged each other to be accountable to one another today and to give a great effort before we head back to Phoenix. So expect to see some great
battles out there as guys are fighting to win and fighting for jobs. I am about to go into chapel and get some good word from brotha
Anthony Edwards...so I will talk to you all later.
Go Cards!

August 19th

Good morning! Well the time is ticking down here in Flagstaff. We had our final night scrimmage last night, that went pretty well. You can definitely see the progress that is being made day to day on both sides of the ball. After practice some of us veteran Db's hung out, ate pizza and told stories that had us all of our stomachs
hurting...real good laughs!!! Some of these dudes are hilarious!
Every group of Db's that I have played with has been close knit but this might be the best so far in my career. These are the times and memories, as a player, that you have to cherish cause it won't ever happen like this again after ball is over.
Anyways we are gearing up for Tennessee on Monday night and it will be a fun one I'm sure. Always fun to see how you stack up against the best and C. Johnson aka Dash/ lightning over there in blue is certainly the best.
Don't forget to tune in..Go Cards!!!!!.ttyl

UPDATE:
Matt Ware welcomed a new daughter to the world early Friday morning. Rylee Nicole Ware weighed in at 5.8 pounds. It's the couple's second daughter.

August 11th

Yo what's up everybody!!! I know it is a tad late but thanks to all the fans who braved the weather and supported us this weekend. I can promise you that it would not have been as fun if you weren't there getting us hyped up. We are two days into game week prep and we are all itching to play someone other than ourselves at this point. Oh btw I have daughter number two on the way in the next couple of days,
so I would ask for all your thoughts and prayers that all goes well.
Exciting times for the Ware fam!
Go Cards!!!

Double Days Are Here-August 2nd

Well today was our first day of two a days and if you weren't in attendance, I'll tell you first hand that it extremely entertaining!!! The execution of plays and competition was at a high level in both practices but, the intensity of the afternoon practice in full pads seemed to go from 0 to 100 in point 5 seconds. A player
can usually tell this by the number of scuffles that break out in a 30 a minute period. Not that it is all that different from other years
but it just gives a simple reminder that things are starting to get real!!! The cool things about the scuffles though are that ,one you know guys are getting after it because they want to win on both sides of the ball and two 2 when it is all said in done we are all boys and
teammates as soon as the horn blows. Just like if you were to get in a rumble with your brother, when it is done you still love him and have his back and in vice versa. Just life in an Nfl training camp.
Now I have to go Skype with my pregnant wife and my soon to be two year old, before I lay it down and start over again in the morning.

Hope yall had a great day!

First Day of Camp-July 30th

Hey what's up Red Bird fans!!! Today I said good-bye to the wife, kid, and family and headed up to Flagstaff. It's the official start of training camp for us and I am real exicted!!! There is something real electric about the unknown and turning that unknown into a product you can be proud of. That's why I play the game. It is always fun to get back and see your boys after a break away from ball. So that's what I'll be doing with my friends, teammates, and coaches for the next couple of weeks. But until then, I will be dreaming about our 300 yard shuttle conditioning test that happens tomorrow. LOL...see yall tomorrow.

18 GAME NFL SEASON? Good or Bad?
There's a proposal out there to expand the NFL Regular Season from 16 to 18 games? A majority of players don't like it.

What do you think Cardinal fans? Good move or bad idea?

Cards Will Win Super Bowl 45
The Arizona Cardinals will win Super Bowl 45.....if.... the old school Ken Whisenhunt comes out. Prepare to meet the new Cardinals. Gone are Kurt Warner, Anquan Boldin, Karlos Dansby and a host of other recognizable players, but they're in better shape than they've ever been because of their head coach. Whisenhunt took the Steelers to the Super Bowl back in 06 when he was a run first, pound the rock coach, and used play action passes to beat the defense. Welcome to the 2010 Cardinals and welcome back coach Whiz. He had to change his style to fit a high flying Kurt Warner led offense, and how could you not with the hall of fame QB leading the way? But now he gets to tailor his offense back to Matt Leinart's strengths...strong running game and play action passing...the same formula that made him the best player in college football. Look for the Cards to pound Tim Hightower and Beanie Wells, suck in the D, then let fly on play action passes with Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Breaston, and Early Doucett.
The additions of Joey Porter and Kerry Rhodes makes the Cardinals D much more physical and intimidating. Plus they won't have to be on the field every two minutes because the offense is marching up and down the field and scoring in bunches. You'll see plenty of 17-10 and 21-17 wins this season. They won't have to keep pace with the high flying Saints and Vikings because they'll control the game with better clock management and a hard hitting defense. Look out for the 2010 Cardinals.
Of course one or two injuries changes everything..or I'm 100-percent off-base and Derek Anderson leads the high flying Cardinals to the highest offensive output in NFL history. But who cares about predictions...let's just be pumped for football season!

Long Hot Summer
The boys of summer are at an all-time worst in the valley. As of June 2nd, the D-Backs have lost 10 straight and just finished their first ever 0-9 roadtrip. This team has some talent, so why can't they win?

If you were in the front office, what's your next move?

Cardinal QBs?...your thoughts...
Kurt is gone...it's now Leinart's turn once again. Can he do the job or will we see Derek Anderson or maybe even a guy like John Skelton take over the show? What about local product Max Hall?

Who is the best fit for the future of the Cardinals?

Suns Bench Nickname
Help us nickname the Suns bench...teams with great chemistry deserve a good nickname...Steel Curtain, Desert Swarm, Run TMC...

We talked with Jared Dudley at practice Monday on possible nicknames. I like incorporating the Suns ability to shoot the three (make it rain)--Hence---PURPLE RAIN.

The JMZ Street Band?
Raiders of the ARC?

Weigh in...what do you think?
